Out Of Time
So sorry, I am out of time to do more than say that we had an excellent workshop at Sue Lancaster’s (Stitched Up and Fleeced) last Saturday. Everyone worked really hard, and best of all they all picked up on the techniques and were quickly taking them in their own directions. I promise to post some pictures and tell you more in a couple of weeks time. In the meantime I am off to Hong Kong to visit my eldest son who is studying at the university there for a year, and I will also be demonstrating at Stitches at the NEC (Monday and Tuesday only). For those that do not know, Stitches is the trade show for the craft and creative industries, and I will be on the All About Crafts and Pottery Crafts Stand so do come and say hello if you are able to.
By way of compensation for total lack of pictures of the Sheffield workshop in this post, here is something I made earlier – a lot earlier, in fact years ago. It was a project for Craft Stamper Magazine, but I don’t think I have shown it on the blog before. The impressed texture is made using the key in the picture.

Looking forward to seeing the workshop pics when you have time. Enjoy your trip to Hong Kong and the NEC. I love the items you made for the Craft Stamper article – who would think that such great designs could originate from that simple key.
Thanks so much for your fabulous dem at the trade show. You were so generous with your time and inspiration and of course the lovely pieces you gave us. Look forward to seeing you at Victoria Stampers! Put you in my blog write up of the weekend!
Jo
Fabulous!
Saw your work at CHA when I went to see my friend Jen (as in Lowe) – the stand was really impressive. She was full of you and how marvellous your work is when I said I knew you.
Looking forward to meeting up with you again and hope you are back from your trip and at the NEC show at the end of March.
Hugs
Well thank you guys, you are all way to nice to me! I promise to post very soon, just recovering from a stinker of a cold that I picked up in HK (and hopefully did not pass on at the NEC).
Neet, I feel the same way about Jen!
Jo, so glad you enjoyed the dem, and I look forward to seeing you again at the Vic Stampers too.
