Flowers and Workshops
Wasn’t I the lucky one today. I went to the front door when the bell rang, and there was a beautiful flower arrangement for me! A very kind and thoughtful friend Froydis from Norway had sent it to me. I wish she had a blog or web site so I could direct you to see her amazing talent with flowers and plants, she knows heaps of stuff. Anyway a huge thank you to Froydis.
This is going to be a short post today but I just wanted to let you all know about two classes that are coming up in the next few weeks that are open to all. I will be teaching Jewellery with Friendly Plastic at The Beetroot Tree Gallery in Draycott Derbyshire on the 30th March.
The workshop on the 12th April is on Masks with Friendly Plastic at Camelot Crafts in Radcliffe On Trent Notts. The image below is of two masks I made for an exhibition, the masks you make on the day will be a little less complex!
Please book directly with the venue. Both classes are suitable for beginners and the more experienced alike.
By the way, I have put a link on the side bar for anyone who wants to get emails to let them know when a new post goes up on the blog. It is a great way to stay in touch with the blogs you like to read, and some people are more comforatble about an email note than an RSS feed (which I am still learning about myself).

Have just read your blog for the first time. Wow. It is great to be able to see and ‘hear’ about your busy creative life.
Congratulations on it all.
Don’t know where you find time to blog. I cannot even keep up reading friends blogs let alone do one myself.

Hi Liz,
I’ve been tagged….and now You’ve been tagged….if you want to play along…here’s how.
1. Link to the tagger.
2. Share 7 random or weird facts about yourself.
3. Tag 7 people, post their names and links to their blogs on your blog.
4. Tell the 7 people you tagged by posting “Tag you’re it†on their blogs in their comments box and explain the rules to them. Nobody is obligated! Just have fun.
See you later, Linda

Hi Toni,
Lovely to hear from you. You are right, blogging is time consuming, but it is also addictive, and best of all I get to chat with all sorts of people I have fallen out of touch with, or are completely new to me. I may not be able to keep up the pace, but I will try!
Linda, I am a little bemused about the tagging, but, hey, why not give it a whirl.

Hi Jinny,
So glad you like the jewellery. I am running a jewellery workshop at The Beetroot Tree in Draycott, Derbyshire, on 30th March, but if you can’t make it, then perhaps you can get a group of friends together and I can come to you? I rashly say this but you might live in Lands End!

Jinny I fogot to say that “comments RSS” is just like an RSS feed for posts, but for comments instead. If someone puts a comment on the blog and you are subscribed to the comments RSS then you get to hear about it. At least I am told that is how it works, but I haven’t actually done it on anyone elses blog yet!

Hi Liz,
Wonderful work, love the masks especially.
You had made a comment on my blog, thank you. I am really annoyed that I didn’t put 2 and 2 together, and realise you were the lady I had been watching at Excel and the NEC yesterday (14th) I bought two lots of cutters from you, just as you were reloading the stand at the end of the day.
I have just kicked myself
Thank you again for your comment about getting the banana shape out of the ATC. The trouble is, they don’t seem to bend until the plastic has gone hard. I’ll just have to make some more, and put it to the test

Hi Wendy,
I didn’t have any cutters with me, so it might have been someone else!!! I am demonstrating on the Origin Publishing stand, and I know I chatted to a Wendy. perhaps it was you!
Glad you like the masks etc, I love doing them. Do keep using the FP for your ATCs, it really is great stuff. I shall revisit your blog as well.
