Create and Craft – I have had the phone call!
I have had the magic phone call to confirm that the Friendly Plastic shows on Create and Craft are going ahead on Wednesday 27th April, so I feel confident that they will go ahead. I deliberately said “shows” because I will be doing two of them – one at 9am and the second at 2pm.
If you set your recorders to 9am, make sure you don’t switch them off until 11am because Sarah Lawrence at Craftynotions will be doing her stuff at 10am and you will love all the wonderfully creative things she has to show you. the second show at 2pm will feature the same kits but I will vary the demos.
Off to finish my samples now, although I don’t actually have all the right papers and yarns to work with as they have not arrived yet, but hey, you will still get the gist of what to do. Intrigued? I hope so. The only clue I will give you is that it involves my Lacework, knitting but not with yarn, paper folding, and a little bit of love! Don’t reach for the sick bags just yet, I am not really that slushy.
I shall hog the TV on Wednesday Liz and your shows sound very intriguing. Hope you get time for a little R&R in between them. Sarah Lawrence too – what a treat all in one day!

Hi Liz
Can’t wait to see the shows, and your new ideas. If you show the bead making please can the camera get close in on the state of the plastic, went you start to work it?
I had my first attempts this weekend and failed repeatedly. My plastic seems to have two states, hard or caramel. I’m working with the same heat gun as you, on a craft sheet on top of a glass mat. I heated till black side went glossy but either my tool or my fingers just stuck to the plastic, but the center area seemed to be still hard?
Pretty please have you any tips for me?
Thanks
Billie 🙂

Two great shows, Liz… I felt you got more over in the second one, as Dave was a bit more scientific about it!!! You were fab as always!!! You are just so professional…

Damn and blast, I’m so annoyed! I watched the first show online (can’t record it as it doesn’t broadcast on my set-up) and was just about to get lunch then sit down to watch the second show when I had an unexpected visitor who wouldn’t go away! The show was well over by the time they did…and I really wanted to find out how the peel-offs thing is done! grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Hi Liz
Thanks for your email and for a fab set of shows on C&C. I’ll have another go at the plastic at the weekend and try getting the alcohol inks on them too.
Best wishes
Billie 🙂
